Moyes Eyes West Ham Raid: Everton Target Cut-Price £10m Deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka

The Premier League season has barely drawn to a close, but the transfer market is already operating at full throttle. Following a dramatic final day that confirmed West Ham United’s heartbreaking relegation to the Championship, rivals are circling the London Stadium. Chief among them is Everton, with Toffees manager David Moyes reportedly plotting a cut-price move for Hammers right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
According to The Telegraph, Everton has registered serious interest in the 28-year-old defender. With West Ham facing a massive financial crunch, a deal could be struck for a modest fee of £8 million to £10 million.
The Relegation Fallout at the London Stadium
Despite West Ham securing a 3-0 victory over Leeds United on the final day, results elsewhere—specifically Tottenham Hotspur finding a late winner—sealed the Hammers’ fate. Dropping out of the top flight for the first time since 2012 has left Nuno Espírito Santo’s squad in a perilous financial state.
Relegation is estimated to cost West Ham roughly £100 million in lost revenue. To balance the books, the club needs to generate close to £150 million in player sales this summer. High earners and marquee assets like captain Jarrod Bowen and midfielder Mateus Fernandes are widely expected to lead a massive fire sale.
Wan-Bissaka, who joined West Ham from Manchester United for £15 million in 2024, is firmly on that casualty list. Despite winning the club’s Player of the Season award in his debut campaign and racking up 65 appearances in East London, the DR Congo international is deemed an unaffordable luxury in the Championship
