Gudmundsson gets sent off right before half-time, and fair enough if it’s a proper second yellow, but the ref had already forgotten he’d booked him earlier in the game.

That’s basic stuff, isn’t it? And in the same match, Johnson commits two absolute bookable fouls – one worse than the other – and nothing. Not even a second glance. If that was the other way round, it’s a red card and we’re talking about it for weeks.

Leeds have had this all season. Decisions go against them week in, week out. It’s starting to look like more than just bad luck or human error. It feels orchestrated at times, like there’s an agenda to make sure they don’t stay up, to force them out of the Premier League one way or another.
