Rangers confirm Matondo exit as Brann details emerge

Rabbi Matondo has completed his move from Rangers to Norwegian side SK Brann.

After it was reported at the weekend that the winger was set to end his four-year stay in Glasgow, the Ibrox club has now confirmed his departure.

With the 25-year-old due to come out of contract in the summer, he was not going to be offered fresh terms and a deal was struck for Brann to get him out of his contract three months early.

He moves to the side that sit 14th in the Eliteserien and who beat Danny Rohl on his first game in charge in the Europa League.


It’s understood now fee is paid to Rangers up front but they could stand to benefit from bonus payments down the line.

Matondo made three appearances this season after spending time on loan at Hannover 96 in Germany the campaign before.

He had come close to leaving Rangers in January but no deal materialised
