Ipswich Town’s climb into the Championship’s top four has stirred criticism from Norwich City head coach Philippe, who delivered a blunt verdict despite his side not facing Ipswich on the night.
Ipswich moved up to 4th position following their victory last night, continuing an impressive early-season run. But Philippe insisted the table does not reflect the true quality of their performances.

“I’m not impressed with their performance,” he said. “They’re just lucky. Ipswich are sitting calm in 4th position, but I’m sure they will still come down — maybe even to 20th.”
His comments added unexpected fuel to the rivalry as the Norwich manager questioned whether Ipswich can maintain their momentum across the long campaign.

While Ipswich fans celebrated another step forward, Philippe’s remarks suggest that not everyone is convinced by their form — and the Championship narrative is already heating up, even without an East Anglian derby on the pitch.
