Leeds United<\/a> manager Daniel Farke will have some decisions to make ahead of their next game after their disappointing 1-0 defeat against Chelsea<\/a> at Wembley in the FA Cup on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Yorkshire club went behind in the first half as Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez popped up in the box to head home in the semi-final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leeds couldn’t find a way back into the game despite a late onslaught, and it was a disappointing performance overall from Farke’s side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Focus will now turn back to the Premier League as they look to secure their place in the top flight for the 2026\/2027 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leeds are in a strong position to avoid the drop, but they aren’t mathematically safe just yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One player the Leeds manager needs to consider dropping is attacking midfielder Brendan Aaronson after another disappointing performance for the Yorkshire club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aaronson, who received a 5\/10 rating from journalist Graham Smyth<\/a>, has struggled in recent months when it comes to production in the final third.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“5 – Scrapped and scrapped, refused to give up on the ball and helped Leeds take control in the second half. But that first half miss was haunting.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aaronson enjoyed an impressive spell at the beginning of the year, but he hasn’t scored for Leeds since the 7th of January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The American International has started seven games on the bounce for Leeds, but it’s time for a spell out of the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No Excuse for Daniel Farke<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Farke has no excuse not to drop Aaronson for their next game, with plenty of options available in attack to replace him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Willy Gnonto, Lucas Nmecha and Sean Longstaff all came off the bench against Chelsea, with all three potential alternative options in the attacking midfield position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Leeds boss also had Daniel James to call upon from the bench this weekend, but the Welsh international was an unused substitute at Wembley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
