James Tavernier cut an emotional figure as Rangers fell to a 2-1 defeat against Hibernian on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The skipper was looking ahead to his final appearance at Ibrox after confirming that his 11-year spell in Govan would be done at the end of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That made the news that he was absent from the matchday squad all the more bizarre, but an argument between the right-back and Danny Rohl solved that mystery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Englishman reportedly withdrew himself from the side after being informed he would be starting on the bench, before returning to wave goodbye to the Gers faithful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That didn\u2019t stop him from picking up an award for his service to the Govan club as Ibrox legend John Greig handed him a silver trophy pre-match against Hibs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tavernier was serenaded by the Bears faithful before that and was clearly emotional as he wiped tears from his eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tavernier and Rohl\u2019s bust-up ruined a historical Rangers moment, but at least he got to have his moment with the fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
