You can quite clearly see it there.

“That’s a red card all day long.”Rangers’ title chances ended by hopeless officiatingRangers have certainly had their chances to accumulate more points this season, but they have had several taken away from them as a result of refereeing decisions.

Two of the biggest calls in the clash with Celtic went against them, and had they gone their way, it would almost certainly have been a very different outcome.

Celtic had momentum behind them after their equalising goal, and without it, we could quite easily have been talking about a crucial Rangers victory.

Rangers player ratings vs Celtic: Mikey Moore deserved more, James Tavernier should be ashamed

Rangers fell to a humiliating 3-1 defeat away to Celtic on Sunday.

As has been the theme with these fixtures as of late, the opening goal came inside the first 10 minutes, and it was Mikey Moore who scored it.

The Tottenham loanee was first to react after Youssef Chermiti saw his effort blocked, with an easy enough finish to give the Gers an early lead.

Rangers’ lead would last just 14 minutes, though, with Hyun-Jun Yang latching on to the end of Arne Erngel’s cross to draw the game level.

Celtic had momentum behind them from there on, with two goals early in the second half to take the game away from Rangers.

Rangers’ title hopes are now officially over, as unlikely as they were at the start of the day.

⚽Rangers match day ⚽Team news, line-ups, expert previews and tactical analysis for every Rangers fixture.

Mikey Moore wasted again vs CelticIt was Moore’s goal that set Rangers on their way once again, but it would count for nothing in the end, and not due to his own downfall.

The Gers simply didn’t get him in the game anywhere enough, and when they did, he looked dangerous, as he has done all season.vs Celtic MooreGoals 1Chances created 1Fouls won 3Dribbles completed 2Touches 22Moore won five of his eight duels in the game and completed two of only three attempted dribbles against Celtic.

Had Rangers got him more involved in the game, it would have almost certainly been a different outcome on the day.

James Tavernier sums up Rangers’ woesJames Tavernier is the supposed leader of this team, but he was quite honestly woeful against Celtic across several areas of his game.

He completed just eight of his 20 passes in the game, and failed to find a teammate with any of his seven attempted long balls.

Only 29 per cent of his attempted crosses were completed, with his final ball as bad as it has ever been this season.

Tavernier was hooked on the hour mark by Danny Rohl, and for good reason, too, when taking into account how poor he was.

James Tavernier stat

Rangers player ratingsJack Butland – 5

James Tavernier – 3 (for Sterling
