Kris Boyd dumbfounded as Alistair Johnston escapes clear red card vs Rangers<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kris Boyd winced when reviewing the footage of Alistair Johnston\u2019s challenge on Rangers\u2018 Mikey Moore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first half was full of action at Parkhead, with a goal for either side, and plenty of controversy to sink your teeth into.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rangers were adamant that Celtic\u2019s goal should have been ruled out for offside, despite VAR checking and clearing the incident, much to the surprise of former PGMOL chief, Keith Hackett.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the Light Blues were also convinced that Johnston got off rather lightly for his challenge on Moore in the first half.Johnston was booked for his tackle, but Boyd was stunned that it wasn\u2019t upgraded to a red card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said: \u201cOh 100 per cent, when you see it like that, he hits him above the ankle. You can quite clearly see it there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As has been the theme with these fixtures as of late, the opening goal came inside the first 10 minutes, and it was Mikey Moore who scored it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Tottenham loanee was first to react after Youssef Chermiti saw his effort blocked, with an easy enough finish to give the Gers an early lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rangers\u2019 lead would last just 14 minutes, though, with Hyun-Jun Yang latching on to the end of Arne Erngel\u2019s cross to draw the game level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Celtic had momentum behind them from there on, with two goals early in the second half to take the game away from Rangers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rangers\u2019 title hopes are now officially over, as unlikely as they were at the start of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He completed just eight of his 20 passes in the game, and failed to find a teammate with any of his seven attempted long balls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Only 29 per cent of his attempted crosses were completed, with his final ball as bad as it has ever been this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tavernier was hooked on the hour mark by Danny Rohl, and for good reason, too, when taking into account how poor he was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
