During the recent loss to Hearts, 16 players were used, none of whom were Scottish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This has drawn criticism from Ibrox legend Ally McCoist<\/a>, who believes a Scottish core is important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Rohl, the Rangers head coach, insists it’s not about nationality but about having the right players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said: “I think it’s for me not about Scottish players or not Scottish players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I think it’s about to have the right players. They can deliver consistently under the highest pressure again and again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I think for me it doesn’t matter which age it is, which culture, from which country they are coming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“For me, it’s just important that they and that we, and this is important, we can deliver 90 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Not just a good performance, 90 minutes for a good result and it means a win.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rangers are likely to have another busy summer transfer window as Rohl attempts to shape his squad for greater success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked about a potential rebuild, Rohl said: “I would say since I’m here we start to rebuild and to bring new players in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I think, and I take it not as an excuse, but very important, and this is what I took also for my time in Munich, to win titles you have to be on point in April and May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I think this is very crucial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“When we look to ourselves at the moment, we are not in every position on our highest level where we should be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Unfortunately, you have with Tuur and Ryan, for example, two key players in the moment out where they should not be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“You have with Mikey, since six weeks, we manage him that he comes through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Dujon, all the small pieces, exactly in these five games in the split you have to be on point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
