The atmosphere at Stamford Bridge turned toxic on Monday night as Nottingham Forest fans took full advantage of Chelsea\u2019s collapse.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first half saw Forest score twice courtesy of Taiwo Awoniyi and Igor Jesus to take a comfortable lead going into the break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chelsea had the chance to reduce to deficit right at the end of the first half with Jesse Derry winning a penalty at a personal cost, Cole Palmer failed to convert it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the second half saw Awoniyi seal the win with his second goal of the game, making it 3-0 and sending the visiting supporters into a frenzy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Forest racing into a commanding 3-0 lead, the travelling supporters were heard chanting \u201cAre you Tottenham in disguise?\u201d, mocking the home crowd during a humiliating night for the Blues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chant, picked up by BBC Sport journalist Joe Rindl during live commentary<\/a>, quickly went viral and underlined the scale of Chelsea\u2019s struggles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chant carried extra sting given Chelsea\u2019s long-standing rivalry with Tottenham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a club that prides itself on competing at the highest level, comparisons with their North London rivals, especially in such circumstances, only intensified the frustration inside Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forest move six points clear of West Ham<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the banter, the result carries massive implications for the Premier League table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 3-1 win moves Nottingham Forest six points clear of West Ham United in the relegation battle with just three games remaining in the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forest supporters could also be heard chanting \u201cwe are staying up\u201d as reported by BBC Live<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While mathematically they still need another four points to secure survival, their current form and superior goal difference suggest they will successfully escape relegation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
