With Team USA getting to play their first game together before the Olympics, rookies Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark teaming up and Arike Ogunbowale dropping 34 points in the second half, the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game smashed previous records of viewership in the highest watched WNBA broadcast of all-time.

According to The Athletic writer Richard Deitsch, he stated that the star-studded spectacle amassed 3.44 million viewers on the station ABC, breaking the second-highest record of 1.441 million set in 2003. In addition, it is the 17th WNBA time this season that a game has exceeded 1 million viewers.
For 15 of the 17 games hitting seven-digit viewers, Clark has played in them which continues the ongoing discussion of the “Caitlin Clark Effect” in the league. With a huge following from her decorated collegiate career at Iowa already, she has taken the WNBA by storm as she has showcased her skill throughout the year for the Indiana Fever with an unprecedented audience of millions of people watching every game she plays.
Deitsch also noted that this was the second consecutive year that the WNBA All-Star Game was aired on ABC in prime time, boosting the numbers significantly
