After an offseason marred by off-the-field distractions, namely contract negotiations with their star players, the Dallas Cowboys were able to get off to an impressive start to the 2024 NFL season.
The Cowboys had one of the most challenging tasks of any potential Super Bowl contender in Week 1 as they had to go on the road to face the Cleveland Browns, who are talented on both sides of the football and hoping for another solid year.
Although it seemed like a toss-up who would come out on top, the Cowboys proved that they are the real deal by dominating in all phases and easily defeating the Browns on the road.
In Week 2, the Cowboys will play host to the New Orleans Saints, who are coming off a 47-point performance against the Carolina Panthers.
Unfortunately for Dallas, it doesn’t look like they’ll have their starting tight end on the field, with Jake Ferguson listed as doubtful with a knee injury.
“It looks like it’s gonna be a stretch for him to play. We are taking a conservative route with him. Get him healthy. The good news is, we like our tight end group,” Cowboys executive Stephen Jones told 105.3 The FAN, via Jon Machota of The Athletic.
