Brian Snitker talks where Jurickson Profar fits in Braves lineup

Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker views new acquisition Jurickson Profar as a versatile asset in the team’s lineup. He describes Profar as a “Swiss Army Knife,” capable of filling various batting positions.

With Ronald Acuña Jr. expected to miss the first month of the season during his ACL recovery, Profar is anticipated to lead off in Acuña’s absence. This arrangement allows Profar to leverage his strong on-base skills, setting the stage for the Braves’ power hitters. In the 19 games he batted leadoff last season, Profar posted a .380/.451/.620 slash line, hitting four home runs and achieving an OPS of 1.071. cite

Throughout his career, Profar has demonstrated adaptability by successfully batting in all six top lineup spots. This flexibility provides Snitker with numerous options for lineup construction, both during Acuña’s absence and as the season progresses.

Projections suggest that once Acuña returns, Profar will continue to contribute across various positions in the order, enhancing the Braves’ offensive depth.
