Gas station owner in Northern California shoots man twice in the chest, deputies say
A gas station owner in Sacramento, California, is under investigation for allegedly shooting a man twice in the chest on Friday night. The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. at the FastTrip Gas Station located at 8061 Florin Road. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear, and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the case.

This incident adds to a series of shootings involving gas station owners in California. In December 2022, Craig Cope, the 80-year-old owner of Norco Market & Liquor, gained national attention after he shot at a group of would-be robbers. Cope later passed away following a stroke.
