Chelsea Football Club has secured a £17.27 million deal to sign Ecuadorian midfielder Kendry Páez from Independiente del Valle. The 16-year-old, who turned 16 in May 2023, is set to join Chelsea in July 2025 upon turning 18. In the meantime, Chelsea is facilitating Páez’s integration into the team by inviting him to train with the first team. Reports indicate that he is scheduled to travel to London and participate in training sessions, allowing him to acclimate to the club’s environment ahead of his official transfer.

Páez has already made a significant impact on the international stage, becoming the youngest debutant and goalscorer in the history of the Ecuadorian top flight. He has also represented Ecuador at various youth levels, including the U17 and U20 teams, and has been capped by the senior national team.
